MUZAK FOR THE HACHETTE GREYWATER DYNASPACE FORUM is a series of Architectural-Ideological explorations MethLife carried through in the early 2000s below the infamous Hachette Greywater Facilities. In the early 2000s, when the human element started to disappear from the perimeter, MethLife atarted to investigate and collect audio and visual material. The audio material is a mixture of sonical and textual elements as well as reports by nameless visitors whose residues were found between the moving shelves of the corporation-archives.
The package contains ferromagnetic tape and a 10-page booklet in colorvision.
Excerpt
„It is strange. I have a new fear of doors. It is like, i don´t want to know what´s behind it by heart. Fears are direct symptoms of changes to the environment here.
A compressor hums in the distance. The device seems to emit an invisible light, maybe ultraviolet, maybe radiation. It is pulsating and seems to produce alternating currents of warm and cold air. In my mind I think about a family tree, growing out of the cold, white concrete below my feet. An impossible family tree. What are we doing here?"
